As part of a push-up video series, learn how to nail the 180-degree push-up.
With a variety of push-ups for every level of fitness, you’ll learn powerful strengthening techniques you can do anywhere.
The push-up’s versatility has inspired us to create a video series that highlights four different types of push-ups with unique characteristics that, together, will make you lean and mean. Watch our other video demonstrations:
Push-ups are a classic body weight workout that has stood the test of time to build strength and endurance. Schools use them in fitness tests, coaches to train their athletes, and the military to train our soldiers.
One of the best things about push-ups is how universal they are and the wide range of muscles they target. Your chest, arms, shoulders, and core are all involved. Another bonus is that you can do a push-up anywhere! On vacation, in the office, or traveling for work, you can get in a whole workout by doing push-ups.
If implemented into your workout program correctly you can use them for strength training, cardio conditioning, core stability, or upper body stability. Not to mention, when done correctly, it looks pretty darn impressive!
The four push-up types featured:
- A cardio pushup
- A power pushup
- A combo pushup
- A stability pushup.
For our first video below, we are focusing on the cardio option.
By simply changing a movement or adding resistance, you can change the entire dynamic of a push-up. There is a need and benefit for everyone to be able to do a push-up.
At Elite Nutrition and Performance we love pushups and incorporate them into all of our client’s programs.
