It saves me so much time and is so easy to prepare a healthy and home-cooked meal when you don’t have to stand over it and watch it! I will usually put all the ingredients together in the crockpot bowl the night before and put that in the fridge. Then before I leave for work, I will put that bowl in the cooker and set to cook!
There’s nothing better than walking in the door from a long, hard day at work and smelling something delicious cooking. The best part? It’s all ready to eat!
I hear all the time, “I don’t have time to cook” and with a crockpot, there’s really no excuse! You can literally make almost anything in a crockpot. In celebration of National Slow Cooker Month, I’m sharing with you one of my favorite slow cooker recipes! This is one of my go-to dinner recipes that my husband and I love.
The chicken is very versatile. It can be eaten on a baked potato, sandwhich with yogurt slaw, or as a dip with veggies. I’ve made this for dinner, lunch, tailgating and parties. It’s always a winner and the best part is it’s low in fat! For those who are watching their sodium intake, this recipe is high in sodium. However, for all you endurance athletes that need to up your sodium intake due to sweating it out…eat up!
