Now you can with individual nutrition counseling from Elite Nutrition & Performance! As Registered Dietitians/Nutritionists, we are clinically trained “nutritionists” in western medicine. However, we know that western medicine is not always the best option. We understand that what you need is someone who can help you with the clinical nutrition and sports nutrition side of things but will also take a holistic apporach to your health and be there to support you! That’s where our coaching programs come into play.

What is coaching?

Our coaching programs combine nutrition and fitness together seamlessly to deliver you with the best results possible. Each month you will work together with your personal coach to tackle any obstacle you may be facing, whether it’s preparing for your next competition, needing to lose some extra body fat, avoiding stomach distress or just how to practically implement positive changes. You will work with a knowledgeable professional who will walk through the process with you every step of the way, while providing accountability and support! We do this by including in your package: unlimited email access between sessions, educational materials, personalized plans and webinars, classes and seminars.

Who is coaching for?

Our coaching programs are for anyone who wants to improve their health, nutrition and fitness level. With coaching, the possibilities are endless! There is no set curriculum to follow and everything is done at your pace and works for your schedule. We work with our clients with the following conditions and concerns:

  • Sports nutrition for optimum performance: we work with a variety of athletes, including:
    • high school athletes
    • amateur athletes
    • triathletes, runners, swimmers, cyclists
    • martial artists

    • dancers, gymnasts
  • Disordered eating and eating disorders

How Coaching Works

During your first appointment, your dietitian will meet with you for an hour-long nutrition consultation/fact-gathering session. This includes analyzing medical history, weight history, food records, exercise habits, and lifestyle habits. Measurements, such as height, weight and body fat may be taken as well. During your session you will receive some guidance on changes that need to be made and goals to work on. However, following your appointment you will receive a written nutrition plan that will outline exactly what you will need to work on. From there, you will have access to your coach through email for continuous support, motivation and guidance. Everyone’s coaching experience will be slightly different based on his or her individual needs.

 Your coaching program may also involve some level of exercise and training. Depending on the coaching level you choose, this may be in the form of a personal training session, an exercise plan or simply discussing exercise habits. If you are looking for a more hands-on approach with your exercise, the Platinum Level of coaching may be best for you. If you already have an exercise plan in place, the Silver Level of coaching may be best.

Platinum Level

 

 The platinum level of coaching is best recommended for someone who is unsure of how to condition and fuel their body for their sport. With the platinum level of coaching, you will receive one individual personal training session plus individual nutrition consultations each month. You will receive a detailed plan for both the nutrition and training for you to follow on your own until your next session. In between sessions you will have access to your coach through emails for continued support and guidance. It is advised that you have gym access or a home gym to complete your workouts and are willing to exercise on your own.

Month 1:

  • Initial fact-gathering, nutrition consultation
    • body fat testing
    • measurements
  • 1 personal training session with exercise plan- will be emailed
  • Personalized nutrition plan- will be emailed
  • Unlimited email access per month to your coach

Month 2:

  • two 30-min nutrition consultations- repeat body fat testing, tape measurements, if necessary
  • 1 personal training session with exercise plan- will be emailed
  • Unlimited email access per month to your coach

Month 3:

  • two 30-min nutrition consultations- repeat body fat testing, tape measurements, if necessary
  • 1 personal training session with exercise plan- will be emailed
  • Unlimited email access per month to your coach

Gold Level

 

 The gold level of coaching is recommended for anyone who needs help fueling their body and needs a little more guidance from their dietitian. This program is recommended for anyone who already has an exercise program in place and/or wants to focus on nutrition first and then graduate to incorporating fitness. It includes a personalized nutrition plan, in addition to in-person nutrition consultations. Gold Level Coaching is recommended specifically for those with eating disorders/disordered eating, individuals with medical conditions or those starting on their journey to healthy.

Month 1:

  • Initial fact-gathering, nutrition consultation-
    • body fat testing
    • measurements
  • Personalized nutrition plan- will be emailed
  • Unlimited email access per month to your coach

Month 2:

  • two 30-min nutrition consultations- repeat body fat testing, tape measurements, if necessary

Month 3:

The silver level of coaching is best recommended for individuals who already have an exercise plan in place and just need help a little with their nutrition plan. This program is best for individuals who are already fairly knowledgeable when it comes to nutrition. If you are looking mostly for guidance and need less help from the dietitian, this program is for you. You will receive one individual consultation per month and email support between sessions.

Month 2:

  • one 30-min nutrition consultation- repeat body fat testing, tape measurements, if necessary
